Interdermal Injections

Interdermal injections

We offer a treatment for fine lines and wrinkles using micro doses of wrinkle relaxing agent into the superficial layers of the skin. These intradermal micro injections are a successful treatment for treating smokers lines around the mouth, fine lines around they eyes and on the cheeks and neck.

This is an advanced technique developed to treat fine lines, wrinkles, and in some cases even acne. For this procedure, wrinkle relaxing agents are injected in extremely small doses into the dermis, the inner layer of your skin, in various places on the face and neck. This innovative technique opens a new dimensions of skin rejuvenation.

How intra dermal injection work

Micro dose injections cause your sweat glands, as well as your sebaceous glands (which secrete an oil that can contribute to the development of acne), to shrink and atrophy; they also visibly reduce pore size. Relaxing the micro fibres of muscle within the deeper layers of the skin results in skin that appears smoother, clearer and less oily. Since the injections are made superficially instead of into the facial muscles, there is no loss of movement as the dilution and depth of these injections does not affect the muscles of facial expression. The intra dermal injections work just underneath the surface of your skin to smooth out the lines and wrinkles being targeted, leading to a translucent glow that makes your skin look healthy and more youthful.

Intra dermal treatment advantages

  • Reduces pore size
  • Tightens and smooths skin
  • Diminishes acne scar appearance
  • Lessens oil production
  • Reverses acne-causing inflammation
  • Provides natural looking results
  • Superficial injection – leaves facial muscles unaffected
  • Non-permanent treatment

This treatment results in youthful looking skin and a refreshed appearance: without the drawbacks of other treatments. Unlike traditional wrinkle relaxing treatments, intra dermal micro injections are performed at a superficial level. This keeps facial muscles safe from the “freezing” effect common associated with other wrinkle relaxing injections.

Intra dermal micro dose injections effects are not permanent and may be reapplied after a 3-4 months.

We deliver our intra dermal injections using the tiniest needles currently available and a high tech micro dosing automatic syringe so as to place the injections strategically in various locations on the face and neck, just below the skin’s surface. Some patients find the procedure mildly uncomfortable. Some patients experience erythema (redness of the skin) after treatment, which can last for around 72 hours afterward. The course of treatment (number of visits required and their frequency) can vary from patient to patient, depending on factors such as skin quality and level of sun exposure between treatments.
